Vitruvius Yachts Double Win at ShowBoats Design Awards 2011

The Vitruvius 50m “Exuma” designed by Philippe Briand and built by Picchiotti SPA was awarded the “Exterior Design & Styling Award: Displacement Motor Yachts 100′-199’” and “Environmental Protection Award” at the ShowBoats Design Awards 2011.

The ShowBoats Design Awards was specifically devised to judge and recognise the designers responsible for the individual elements of a superyacht. Aspects of the most impressive yachts launched in the preceding calendar year are scrutinised and judged by a panel of design experts.

Since her launch in July 2010 the efficent Vitruivus 50m “Exuma” has enjoyed enormous success thanks to her striking and innovative design. The multiple award winning “Exuma” is the result of a seamless collaboration between Vitruvius Yachts, Philippe Briand and the shipyard Picchiotti SPA.

In July 2011, the second Vitruvius, a 55m iceclass “Galileo G” was successfully launched. A third Vitruvius motor yacht, a 73m explorer also built by Picchiotti SPA, is currently under construction. Her delivery is scheduled for 2013.
